Assistant District General Manager

Overview:
Are you an experienced, people-oriented leader looking to advance your career? Do you have a background in retail operations and operations management? The ADGM will work with the current General Manager to plan, lead, and direct the profitable growth of CORT's district operations.
This role will help to oversee all operating functions including rental sales, retail sales, general administration, inventory management, warehouse and delivery operations with the heaviest focus in the districts retail sales and operations.
Responsibilities:
A Day in the LifeDevelop, recommend, and implement policies for the overall district including operating plans and budgetsCollaborate with the Regional Sales Managers, Regional Vice Presidents - Sales and Operations to coordinate, plan and optimize sales activitiesDirect sales activities in the 5 regional Outlet Centers to increase revenue and inventory utilizationDirect inventory management efforts, controls, warehousing, and delivery operationsDirect staffing, salary administration, evaluations, and benefit administrationMake sales and sales maintenance callsEnsure employee compliance with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practicesDirect the processes involved in business organizational planning, coordination, and executionDetermine how monies will be spent to get work doneOrder merchandise or prepare requisitions to replenish merchandise
Qualifications:
4-year college degree with 4
years related work experiencePrevious experience in a large, high-volume retail environment (over 5 million in retail revenue) to inlcude retail sales and/or operationsDirect management experience over teams of 30
associatesExcellent communication and reasoning skills, computer proficiency and account development and management skillsP experienceAbility to build relationships with external and internal customersValid state driver's license and safe driving recordReliable transportationAbility to speak, read and write English Additional Information:
