Project Manager - Mail Operations

Job Purpose
Candidate must meet all performance standards outline on the DHS contract. The Project Manager is responsible for the daily logistics of assigned department(s) ensuring policies and procedures are followed and deliverables to the customers are met. Additionally, the Project Manager will resolve all operational
issues and work with customers to resolve these issues in a timely manner taking a proactive
approach to problem solving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct monthly Quality Control Inspection of 10 Mail Stop at DHS locations/Customer Service sites/conduct QC inspection on all TS work.
Respond to Customer concerns and complaints within 4 hours and TS Courier within 1 hour.
Route and track 100% all accountable/secure all accountable mail/TS at the end of day in the class 6 safe.
Collect and analyze misrouted mail and respond to customer and log the result in JIRA with corrective action.
Conduct customer phone follow-up daily within 30 minutes and document results.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in all other training required by DHS and or the Corporation. ???Perform various duties as
assigned. ???Maintain and update all SOP according to ISO standards. ???Comply with CBRNE policies
and operational guidelines.
Qualifications
An experienced professional with 8- 10 years of progressive experience with CBRNE equipment and procedures.
Must possess extensive knowledge in organizing and implementing safety policies and procedures for safe mail practices, in compliance with local, state and Federal rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in implement programs, processes, procedures or training modules, to ensure staff proficiency in using CBRNE Personal Protective Equipment.
Must have an extensive background in CBRNE detection equipment, CBRNE decontamination equipment, CBRNE decontamination procedures and clean room practices. Must possess, or within the first 6 months of employment in this position, achieve DHS/FEMA IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, & IS- 800 course certifications.
Safe processing of all DHS mail that enter and/or leaves the CRDS facility. Ensuring that all Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) detection technology present in the CRDS Containment Areas are properly maintained and used when managing the Containment Areas.
Ensure that all personnel working in the Containment areas utilizing any CBRNE equipment and any associated personal protective equipment (PPE) are fully trained in the use, care and maintenance of such equipment and that Containment Area is maintained to the required standards to meet any safety, health and security guidelines that relates to safe mail practices.
Must be qualified to obtain and hold a federal security clearance level of Top Secret.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Prospective applicant must be knowledgeable in safe mail practices and emergency response
procedures. Candidate must possess working knowledge of the National Incident Management
System (NIMS) and the National Response Plan.
Possess a strong knowledge of workplace safety and security, OSHA and other Government
regulations required. ???Candidate must possess strong computer skills in using database software,
excel spreadsheet and word processing ???Thorough knowledge in safe mail practices. ???An energetic,
forward thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and utmost integrity. A strategic
visionary with excellent technical skills, sound judgement and strong operational focus. ???A well
organized, self-motivated, and self-directed individual who is a team player. An intelligent and
articulate person who can relate to people at all level of organization. ???


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
