Safety Officer
LONG FENCE , an industry leader for over 70 years, has an immediate opening for a Safety Officer at our Ijamsville office (Home Base) in Montgomery County.
Work area primarily in the MD, VA, DE, PA, WV area, but not limited to the occasional weekend, night work or travel As a Safety Officer at Long Fence you will be responsible for monitoring workplace activities to ensure that workers comply with Long Fence Company, Inc.
policies and government safety regulations, assist the Safety Director with policy development, safety inspections, safety training and compliance with local, state, federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration.
Job Duties Assist the Safety Director with the developing and implementing of safety policies Inspect interior and exterior work areas on Long Fence jobsites Investigate workplace accidents Training & Coaching Regulatory Compliance Job Requirements Minimum 3 years experience 3 Year clean driving record Able to pass a drug screen Bilingual (Spanish is a plus) Long Fence Provides:

AA/EOE Disseminate safety equipment for construction teamsProvide construction safety support to ensure that construction contractors follow respective construction safety program and Client's construction safety programImplement the site safety recognition programsEnforce safety signage pertinent to project sitePerform safety audits, safety training, proactive safety programs, and overall site communicationsMaintain company safety standard and follow safety regulationsReview the site safety plan with subcontractorsKeeping the site clean for constructionEnsure security of the construction siteTeach construction safety 30-hour classesEnsure emergency and safety equipmentProvide overall safety project oversightPlanning for safety on the projectDemonstrate the use of safety equipmentSubmit a sitespecific and riskspecific safety planCoordinate activities of safety staffMaintain metrics of project safety performanceHelping and assisting the foreman on the construction job siteParticipate in weekly job safety meetings with construction site personnel and with Client project management teamDevelop and present safety training.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
