The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Senior Component Engineer to join the Autonomous Systems team.
In this role you will focus on evaluating both Radio Frequency (RF) and digital component replacements for communication equipment designed onsite.
You will work with the procurement, planning and engineering teams to make suitable changes and sustain existing circuit board designs to support continued production and sales for Boeing's subsidiary Digital Receiver Technology (DRT).
This position will be located onsite in Germantown, MD.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical circuitry and possess electrical engineering knowledge to make recommendations & innovative decisions.
Position
Responsibilities:
Leads analysis of engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance/repair/sustainment requirements, procedures and instructions; provides approval authority Initiates and guides activities to influence product designs and processes to ensure supportability and maintainability Guides activities related to the use of fault isolation procedures/techniques and development of systems theory descriptions Guides analyses to verify the accuracy of complex maintenance/repair data Performs Bill of Material scrubbing to proactively support end of life status on circuit components.
Works with supply base to support component availability setbacks with alterations.
Utilizes Microsoft Excel to complete tasks daily This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship (Post-Start) Required Skills/
Experience:

years of experience with electronics circuit board design with RF and digital technology 3
years of experience with power supply circuitry Experience evaluating and making suggestions to replace electronic components with suitable replacements Preferred Skills/
Experience:
Knowledge of search tools for evaluation of market availability of electronic components, experience with Silicon Experts is a plus Familiarity with MRP systems, experience with Costpoint is a plus Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Typical Education/
Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard Relocation:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
