Mid-Level Systems Modeling & Simulation

Boeing Research and Technology is looking for an Mid Level Systems Modeling & Simulation Engineer in El Segundo CAIn pursuit of Boeing's research and business interests, the successful candidate will:
Work on leading edge technologies across the enterprise and at business partners and teammate facilities to develop, document, analyze, and test operational, functional, and environmental requirements of developed research systemsProvide high impact, creative solutions to complex technical problemsWork both independently and as part of a team environmentProvide critical support and independent review of the work of teammatesPosition
Responsibilities:
Support modeling and simulation efforts for technologies under research & developmentCoordinate modeling with individual team members and subject matter experts across Boeing and its teammate/partnersIntegrate individual models into larger model set for component and larger subsystem development areasIncorporate measured data from developmental testing of products and subsystems in the laboratory into modeling environmentDefine simulations to meet system engineering needs to support trades, design synthesis, and verificationSupport complex architecture trade studies & system/subsystem level integration & validationDevelop and manage data flow through models and simulations, create scripts and connecting code where applicableSummarize model and simulation activities for regular design integration timelines and end customer reports including plans to mature models based on demonstration observablesThis position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (US Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryExperience in new technology or product/capability development3
years of experience in system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification and validationEffectively communicate with technical and non-technical personnel at all organization levels including suppliers and customersPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in working agile model based system engineering environmentExperience with Model Based Engineering tools and languages such as Enterprise Architecture, Cameo, MagicDraw, and UML/SysMLEducation/experience in 1 or more of the following:
Cadece/Pspice, C, C++, Python, Matlab, Java, LinuxTypical Education/
Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
